Light Painting

Light painting allows me to use total darkness, turning it into my canvas for luminous storytelling. Rather than simply capturing the light that exists I actively step in front of the camera. Using extended exposures, I draw my compositions using handheld light devices.

The darkness gives me total control over composition, contrast and colour. it is an experimental process that turns the act of photography into a physical performance. The camera captures the fluid, rhythmic energy of motion that is otherwise invisible to the naked eye, frozen in time are glowing ribbons of light transforming a still photograph into a kinetic tapestry of colour.

The process is ‘magic’ with every shot the screen of the camera glows in ways you cannot predict, no two images can ever be the same.
