Hi I’m Vicky! I create images using abstract, alternative and experimental photography.

I am a firm believer that a photograph should make you feel something before it tells you something. I spend my days chasing the rhythm of the landscape and my nights painting with light. In between you will find me harnessing the sun, turning iron salts into art.

At the core of all my projects is light, I move beyond using light as a tool for documentation, instead it is a fluid medium that can be transformed into a tangible material that I shape and direct. I have used light to create images that can only exist through my deliberate intervention.

I don’t just stand behind the camera I put myself into every frame. Whether I am physically moving with the camera to create blur on a landscape or dancing through the dark with a light wand, my own motion becomes part of the final image. I carry that same immersion into my cyanotypes where the physical act of coating the paper, composing the objects and working with the sun ensures no two images will ever be the same.

While my heart lies in the experimental, I am also fully proficient in traditional compositions ensuring I can deliver polished high-end results for any brief.
