Cyanotypes

The cyanotype has allowed me to move away from the ‘perfection’ of the digital age and embrace a more visceral grounded way of creating. It has become my way of resisting the rush of modern life, slowing down and anchoring myself in the present moment.

The act of pressing a single flower is a gesture of preservation, a way to halt decay. When these flattened forms meet light-sensitive emulsions they leave more than just a simple shape, they reveal intricate details of transparency and veins that are often invisible to the naked eye.

I invite my viewers to pause, to breathe and to find beauty in the blues.
